Going through this chapter we are going to familiarize ourselves with the last quadrant of the brown cow model i.e Future How.
Determine the extent of the product.
The task of business analysis is to determine what the work should be in the future and how the product can best contribute to that work. It can also be understood by the optimal response to how the product can do the work or solve the problem that is needed in the future, which includes te following considerations:
- Lowest cost
- Most user-friendly interface
- Valuable services to be provided.
A BA's responsibility in determining the future product is to find the best way to achieve the desired outcome for the business use case.
Consider the Users.
Whatever it is that the business internet to build, someone has to use it. It is important what the user wants and how to seamlessly fit the functionality into the user's experience.
Users need to be evaluated critically to be absolutely clear on what is required out of the product. Personas are used when you have a large number of in-house users or a large number of customers who will be using the product.
Designing the User Experience.
User experience is generally the reason why the users may buy the product. Experience design aims to produce a user experience that is pleasing, exciting and relevant to the culture as well as aspirations of the user. BA is not the experience designer but has a core understanding of the functionality and non-functionality of the business. This information along with the insights form analysis of users and personas helps experience designer to develop what is required to best suit the users.
Innovation
Innovation essential is highlighting the different ways of implementing the work from how it is currently done. Ba may consider the following in order to implement new solution:
- Convenience and ease
- Connections
- Readily available and useful information
- Feeling, your customers are unlikely to use your product if they cannot feel good about doing so.
The real origin of the business event.
The real origin of the business event often occurs well before our systems think it does. The business event typically origins from outside the organization." The real origin of the business event is when the customer becomes short of groceries". Hence, having a product with boundaries as near as possible to this scenario will fetch success.
PUC(Product Use Case).
PUCs are derived from the BUCs and it sets out the product functionality.
Document your design.
Documentation is the reason why your product is as it is. BA must record all the details of the product which may include what is being and how it is being done. This could be text, pictures, videos, etc..
There are some essential things that Business Analyst can do at IG. First thing is determining the extent of the product, so as a business analyst, we should define the work in the future and how the work contribute in the overall process. The second thing Business Analyst should focus on, is considering the users. The business analyst should improve the customer's experiences and meet the user's needs. The third thing is the innovation which is to shows the highlight the different ways of apply the solution to work. Last but not least, the most important is documenting the design. Business Analyst documents the details of the product such as what is that product, how the product was made, and the products should conclude the text, pictures, videos and many more things.

Business Analyst should pick the best one to find the solution. the solution should be innovative so that it shouldn't be same as old stuff. The product design should be well documented by the BA to insure that what should be done and how it can be achieved.
